Yowie sightings and even contact with the creatures have long been part of the cryptid history of Australia.
The Bigfoot like hominid said to live in the wilderness of Australia continues to be reported today. In fact there are even some reports now of actual contact with the creatures. Sightings and reports date back all the way to the 19th century but Queensland resident Tony Duffy now claims to have met and talked with these creatures.
Sightings have been claimed by people as high profile Bill O’Chee a Queensland senator among many others. But claims of having actual communication with the Yowie have many people skeptical to say the least. Mr. Duffy claims that while camping in the bush near Gympie one night a large male Yowie approached him and began to speak to him in a language he thinks may have been Latin.
“I got a fright and so did he,” he said.
The creature seemed human but larger and spoke in a language he thinks might be Latin.
“He was quickly able to learn a few words in English and we spoke for about two hours,” the Kybong resident said.
“They’re very intelligent.”
But he says they are in danger.
“They build meagre shelters in the forest which are often destroyed by humans,” he said.
“The EPA won’t respond to my calls.”
The next night, Mr Duffy’s campsite visitor returned, this time “with his wife and daughter”.
“My whole mission is to protect them and to convince people to leave them alone and not hurt them.
“In the last 12 months I have had close contact with yowies on at least seven occasions.
“These creatures must be protected and respected.
“Yowies are clearly ‘the missing link’ that scientists have looked for decades. I believe they are the greatest discovery in the history of natural science.
“They are very peaceful creatures and love their partners and their children dearly.”
Duffy says the creatures are peaceful and are at risk from humans and he only wishes to protect them. He thinks the Yowies are clearly the missing link that science has been searching for and believes they are and will be the greatest discovery in the history of science. Plenty of skeptics are having a hard time buying Duffy’s claims and still believe the Australian Bigfoot to be a myth and many reports of it either mis – identifications or hoaxes.
