Once again Katy Elizabeth and her “Champ Search” team are hard at working searching for evidence of the elusive cryptid believed to inhabit the waters of Lake Champlain.
They have recorded some awesome new echolocation from an unknown animal that many believe is the lake monster Champ. This is not the first time that the team has recorded these unexplained echolocations. The latest recordings took place on August 12th around 6 A.M. according to a recent report from Katy. Champ is one of the more well known of the cryptids and lake monsters around the world and Champ Search has produced some of the best evidence to date of the creatures existence.
Have a listen to the recording of the recent Champ echolocation 2016 in the video below. The week-long expedition which led to these recordings also including some other interesting events including an unidentified sighting. In a recent message Katy said “We will be back out there soon and hoping to get underwater video and sonar images. As far as the night time investigation, we will make sure it will be in clear weather so if whatever shows up again with this eyeshine if it is there, we will get good footage of it. We have so many great videos that I am putting together from Memhremagog and Willoughby as well and will be making an episode shortly. One thing is for sure, whatever was sitting there in the Bay watching, scared the crap out of us!”
The echolocation recordings from Lake Champlain have yet to be matched to any known creature and are said by some experts to resemble that of the Beluga Whale. There are very few known animals which use echolocation none of which are known to inhabit the lake. This echolocation could be used as a form of communication or perhaps even as a way to find food. You can check out this article which was done on the echolocation recordings captured in 2014 by the Champ Search team. The search for Champ continues and hopefully, some 2016 Champ Sightings are on the way!
