Bigfoot sightings and reports from the state of North Carolina date back many years and many believe it has become somewhat of a bigfoot hotspot.
The Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO) has documented reports of North Carolina bigfoot sightings and encounters from various locations around the Tar Heel State including multiple encounters over the last couple of years. A local group called “Bigfoot 911” that has been tracking the infamous cryptids since 2014 believes they now have proof that the creature calls North Carolina home. According to the group, they have collected various pieces of possible bigfoot evidence and are hot on the creature’s trail.
The investigative team was started by McDowell County resident John Bruner and also includes his three sons along with several other team leaders. According to Bruner, the group got its name because many of the members along with being bigfoot enthusiast also work in emergency services. One of his sons who previously served in the U.S. Army as a fire support specialist and a forward observer have put his knowledge of land navigation to use developing a mapping system. His other two sons also play key roles and enrich the group with usable assets such as an extensive knowledge of bigfoot behavior and habitat.
The team has collected what they believe are several bigfoot photographs along with audio recordings of bigfoot howls and have found multiple bigfoot tracks and footprints. A statement from the team said, “We have documented extensive evidence that Bigfoot exists in McDowell County.” The team is so confident that sasquatch is alive and well in North Carolina that they created a hot line for tips and sightings. You can follow the team’s exploits and check out some of the potential evidence they have collected on their Facebook page. Hopefully, more sightings and reports of the North Carolina bigfoot are on the way!
