Tom Biscardi who claims to be a leading Bigfoot expert is now making the search for Bigfoot an investment opportunity.
He has founded the firm “Bigfoot Project Investments” a new start up company and is on verge of initial public offering to fund it. The IPO offers investors a chance to join in on the search for Bigfoot and turn the legend into a possible profit.
“Tom Biscardi in 2008“
The company claims its money making avenues will be the making of movies and selling of DVD’s while also budgeting approx $100,000 for field research and expeditions. The main goal of the company according to Biscardi is to find the creatures known as Bigfoot or Sasquatch. Previous Bigfoot related businesses have actually raised money from enthusiasts but never in the amounts of money being sought by this project.
Biscardi claims to have had multiple Bigfoot sightings and encounters but many in and around the Bigfoot community have a negative opinion of his claims and work. Back in 2008 he was part of a well published Bigfoot hoax where he held news conferences claiming to have a Bigfoot carcass. He claimed it was a male and measured over 7 foot tall weighting over 500 lbs found by two men in Georgia. But it turned out to be nothing more then a stuffed rubber gorilla costume and once exposed Biscardi claimed he has been deceived by the two men and was not a part of the hoax.
Investment analysts as one would expect warn possible investors to consider all aspects of the company and that profits may end up being almost as elusive as Bigfoot. The Securities and Exchange Commission worries more about accounting rules then it does about the merits of a company or existence of any legendary creature. But analysts also admit for the right people who believe in the existence of the creature and have extra cash to invest this may be a very interesting avenue to explore.
