Champ the lake monster said to inhabit the waters of Lake Champlain which border the US and Canada has been spotted multiple times this summer according to Kathy Elizabeth Huling the founder of the group named Champ Search.
One of the legendary cryptids Champ has sighting reports dating back all way to the 1600’s. Along with Champ expert Dennis Hall the pair says they have been on search for Champ all summer from land and by boat. The dou have been out on Lake Champlain searching for the lake monster using all sorts of equipment including underwater camera’s and hydrophones.
Some of the 2014 Champ sightings outlined by the Champ Search team happened over the summer. At the end of June a sightings was reported near Charlotte, VT from a woman so claims to have seen a large head pop up out of the water with her binoculars. There was also a report from a man who said he seen what looked like a large eel swim right under his boat near Button Bay. Hall said they also had a sighting of Champ in late July from the shore along Button Bay.
Hall claims that he had sightings of the creature on three separate occasions over the summer. He described one sighting as seeing a dark colored hump come out of the water about three feet in Button Bay saying the creature looked to be approx 15 feet long. Haul says that she last saw the Lake Champlain monster back in 2012 also on Button Bay.
The team also capture some new Champ Echolocation’s recording on the lake which many believe may to be from the legendary cryptid.
