On Cold Case Cryptids, a team of real cryptid researchers get to the bottom of centuries old mysteries to find out if monsters from our past are perhaps still lurking in our present.
The team returns to the actual communities affected by the events and reopens the investigation hoping to shed light on the intriguing saga outlined in these monster narratives.
As part of the investigation they will find the exact location where the event occurred, examine the areas physical characteristics and historic events such as wars, natural disasters or local disputes that may provide clues to explain the article. The team will interview local historians and witnesses to uncover forgotten legends that may have been intertwined with the actual events.
Using details from the article and actors portraying the stories characters, an on screen recreation of the horrifying events will help to shed light on the weird events from the day.
Finally, with boots-in-the-woods detective work and the latest high-tech investigative field equipment the team cautiously returns to the original scene to collect photographic, video and physical evidence which will be analyzed by team member Dr Jeff Meldrum, for further evaluation and a final scientific conclusion.
